Estimate your cabinetry range

Pick what you are pricing. Where published cost data exists we will show an installed range; where it does not we will tell you what drives the number instead of guessing.

Planning range, installed $11,000 to $26,400 22 linear feet at $500 to $1,200 per foot

Cabinetry and installation only. Countertops, appliances, flooring, and backsplash are separate. This is a planning range built from published 2026 pricing, not a quote. A fixed written price follows the free on-site measure.

How to measure, in ten minutes

Cabinetry is sold by the linear foot, and the same method works whether you are measuring a kitchen, a closet wall, or a built-in run.

  1. Measure the walls that carry cabinets

In inches, corner to corner. Only the walls with cabinetry on them.

  2. Do not count uppers and bases separately

A wall with 12 feet of base cabinets and 12 feet of uppers is 12 linear feet, not 24.

  3. Add the island separately

Measure the run of cabinetry around its perimeter.

  4. Subtract the appliance gaps

A 36 inch refrigerator opening and a 30 inch range are not cabinetry. Take them out.

  5. Divide by twelve

That is your linear footage. Put it into the calculator above. For a closet, measure the wall carrying the hanging and shelving rather than the floor area of the room.

What the tiers mean

TierInstalled per linear footWhat you get
Stock$100 to $400Off the shelf sizes in three inch increments. Filler strips close whatever is left over
Semi-custom$150 to $700A catalogue with real choice over door style, finish, and interior fittings, still in fixed increments
Custom$500 to $1,200Built to your measured openings, any configuration, wall to wall with no fillers
Refacing$100 to $250Your existing boxes stay. New doors, drawer fronts, veneer, and hardware

What this number does not include

Cabinetry and installation only. Countertops, appliances, flooring, backsplash, plumbing, and electrical are separate lines on a real quote. If you are budgeting a whole room, see our kitchen remodeling page, and if you are deciding between keeping and replacing your boxes, the cabinet refacing page covers that trade off.

Why this is a range and not a quote

Two kitchens at the same linear footage can differ by a factor of two. Door style, finish, box construction, interior fittings, and how square your walls are all move the number, and none of them can be read off a tape measure. Clovis Custom Cabinets gives you a fixed written price after a free on-site measure, with a written lead time, before any deposit. The calculator is for working out whether to start the conversation.
